I’ve been SUPER busy lately! I had to go in and prune my physical goods shop at Honeybee Workshop to prime the store for Christmas ornament season. I’m also slowly adding more embroidered items back into my shop so that I can run my embroidery machine for monograms while I’m digitizing. It’s not just a huge paperweight! 🙂 I want to contribute more and more to my family with embroidery.
If you haven’t seen my personalized Christmas ornaments, you can take a peek at them by visiting the Honeybee Workshop. These are a colossal hit every year; last year I took a break from doing them to focus on digitizing, but in the past I had created approximately 500 per year for several years! This year I will be producing a limited quantity, so if you see one you love and think would make the perfect gift, buy it!
Last week I also published my first class on this awesome website called Skillshare. This is a website where you can sign up for classes that teach you to do awesome stuff, from baking to using Photoshop to crocheting. If you can believe this, I’m the FIRST teacher to publish a class on machine embroidery! This was also my first foray into recording myself as a “professional” and editing the video. In the past I’d only created super-informal, casual YouTube tutorials.
If you’d like to check out the snap tab tutorial I created for Skillshare, you can click the picture below of my Skillshare tutorial project to view my intro and check out the great deals on membership that Skillshare has to offer. Go get crafty!
I’ve also been getting ready for Applique Getaway this weekend in Dallas, Texas. I’ll be working at the Embrilliance booth, but I got an extraordinary opportunity to have my own booth for digitizing that is simply a display (I won’t be present to chat or.. sign autographs LOL). This is an awesome opportunity to have my designs on display for potentially thousands of customers to see, so I’ve been spending a lot of time finishing up some designs that I think will be really popular so those potential customers will have great things to see, touch, and shop for on Etsy!
Did you see the newest ITH project in my shop? Everyone is going nuts over the
“poop” zipper pouch! This project is only available in 5×7 and 6×10 size, but worry not! I am working really hard on a very similar design that is perfect for 4×4 as well. 🙂 What a perfect little “happy” for the new dog owner or pet lover in your life – tuck a little roll of “poo bags” in and gift to bring a new meaning to the term “doggy bag”! I created a very detailed, illustrated .PDF for this project and I don’t want you to be afraid to try it if it’s your first zipper bag! It’s SO easy!!
Thank you so much for the continued support and encouragement and I look forward to making
